Sermon: Who is preaching to you?
What causes us to remain the same are other preachers. Other preachers are words or situations that you come across that are contrary to your Man of God’s teachings. Other preachers are words contrary to God’s teachings that you allow into your life. You dilute the word of God by believing other preachers. If you are still weak and think that everything that passes through your eyes are reality. Words have power.
What matters above everything is what God will be saying. The devil is aware of where you are supposed to be hence he brings in negative people into your life to pull you down. Books you read can affect you hence you need to ensure you are careful about the books you read or the movies you watch. When too many lies are said they start to appear true.
It takes a lot of courage to constantly attend church because people are looking for the significant change they can see in your life. If you are taught something it is not difficult to apply the teaching in your life and see whether or not your life will change. There are people in your life waiting to see if your life is changing or not in order for them to believe that God is real.
It is not everyone who you should allow to speak over your life, people lie. The word of God requires fertile ground to germinate but you contaminate it by what you take in. We only succeed by concentrating on your own race. You should concentrate on success and big things in order to progress in life not gossip. Fear is instilled in you on a daily basis to limit you from receiving from God. Do not allow your pocket to preach to you or any situation you might be in.
Matthew 14 v 21 NLT
21 About 5,000 men were fed that day, in addition to all the women and children!
Jesus Walks on Water
22 Immediately after this, Jesus insisted that his disciples get back into the boat and cross to the other side of the lake, while he sent the people home. 23 After sending them home, he went up into the hills by himself to pray. Night fell while he was there alone.
24 Meanwhile, the disciples were in trouble far away from land, for a strong wind had risen, and they were fighting heavy waves. 25 About three o’clock in the morning[b] Jesus came toward them, walking on the water. 26 When the disciples saw him walking on the water, they were terrified. In their fear, they cried out, “It’s a ghost!”
27 But Jesus spoke to them at once. “Don’t be afraid,” he said. “Take courage. I am here!”
Jesus had just fed 5000 men when he instructed the disciples to cross over to the other side of the lake. They all listened and they went away without arguing with him about the weather. Had it been in our day and age they would have argued with him. You need to learn to listen to what God will be saying to you not any other preacher. The word of God stands, do not be a person who is easily wavered by situations or people. When Jesus was praying the disciples were caught up in a storm. Jesus says even in the midst of a storm be of good cheer. Do not allow your environment to be your preacher.
To God be the glory…
