We all want to be successful but we need to follow certain principles. There are people who are in our circle; very close to us. Jesus has 12 disciples but there were 3 who were in His inner circle, namely Peter, James and John. What I want to teach about today, is the inner circle. The people in the inner circle can either lift you or destroy you. you will never succeed in life if you don’t have people in your inner circle or influential people. If you have less than 6 people or so, then your success rate is at 50%.

Ask yourself, “Do they add value to my life?” We are talking of people who can make a difference in your life. These are the people you can listen to; they are a circle of confidants. These people must not be liabilities; they must not rely on you. Such people do not bring any monetary value or reliable information that can positively change your life.
When every person comes to us, they are carrying 2 buckets; either one of fire or help. Successful people have got someone in their life whom they look up to; someone they can give an ear to for their wellbeing. You need to be careful of people in your inner circle who only seem to say what you want to hear. Such people aren’t safe for you because they can clap their hands whilst you are getting into trouble. You need people who give genuine objective opinion that should improve but in a constructive manner. We are not talking of people who drain your energy; they must give constructive criticism and encourage you to go on. If your circle includes relatives, then cancel them out. Successful businesses do not include relatives.
Before you create a permanent circle you need to take time even stretching in many years until you declare them permanent members of the inner circle. When people in your inner circle argue with you, they must be positive arguments rather than merely dressing you down.
You also need someone in your circle who has close ties of people with information. You must have people who give you information that should help you. you also need to have people who can argue with you but at the end of the day they can smile at you and also leave you smiling rather than leaving you angry.
Great people have fallen because of having pretending people in the inner circle. Loyalty has no past tense. Do not quickly tell a person that they are part of your inner circle and you also need to allow time to test them. Being successful minded yourself, you must test their business mentality that is in line with your vision or goal.
