Scripture: Luke.5:1-11
One day as Jesus was preaching on the shore of the Sea of Galilee,[a]great crowds pressed in on him to listen to the word of God. 2 He noticed two empty boats at the water’s edge, for the fishermen had left them and were washing their nets. 3 Stepping into one of the boats, Jesus asked Simon,[b] its owner, to push it out into the water. So he sat in the boat and taught the crowds from there.
4 When he had finished speaking, he said to Simon, “Now go out where it is deeper, and let down your nets to catch some fish.”
5 “Master,” Simon replied, “we worked hard all last night and didn’t catch a thing. But if you say so, I’ll let the nets down again.” 6 And this time their nets were so full of fish they began to tear! 7 A shout for help brought their partners in the other boat, and soon both boats were filled with fish and on the verge of sinking.
8 When Simon Peter realized what had happened, he fell to his knees before Jesus and said, “Oh, Lord, please leave me—I’m such a sinful man.” 9 For he was awestruck by the number of fish they had caught, as were the others with him. 10 His partners, James and John, the sons of Zebedee, were also amazed.
Jesus replied to Simon, “Don’t be afraid! From now on you’ll be fishing for people!” 11 And as soon as they landed, they left everything and followed Jesus.
What is that you have lost and each time you remember, it pains you so much? Is it marriage, finances, health, academic excellence or generally happiness that you lost but you wish you could have it once more? Today the almighty God is declaring into your life saying, “Pursue and recover all”. Thus, today is your opportunity for the replay of your past losses and be given the room to recover every loss.
Be careful of what people can say or speak into your life. Words are very powerful and they can either build or destroy. Therefore, avoid people who speak negative or complain now and again. Words spoken well and positively in your life can revive or restore lost home which had evaporated for years. As you associate with other positive minded people, learn as well to speak positive of both yourself and others. By so doing, you will be promoting an environment of positive manifestations. List them all and start believing in God’s word today. Start emptying yourself today of all the negative mentality and start loading positivity from today onwards. By so doing, you will be promoting God’s declaration into your life for the manifestation of your restoration.
Pursuing is an act. It starts with a positive mentality that “I will make it. I will do it. I will pursue and recover all”. Pursuing demands an attitude of pushing on and forward until you get it. Do not give up right up to the point of recovering or gaining access to it. Even a relationship broken or on the rocks can be recovered; just pursue it.
You had folded and wrapped up your nets and hung them up because they had not caught any fish but Jesus is saying throw them again for a better catch. Pursue TODAY, NOW and recover that which you lost.
We give all glory to God. Mbiri kunaJesu.
